Transfer News: Dylan Cogill Signs on

Former Huddersfield Town defender Dylan Gogill has signed for the Celts ahead of today’s game with Alfreton Town.

Dylan has been around the club for a good number of weeks following his release from Clyde FC in the summer. Due to him playing in Scotland last season he has been awaiting international clearance from the FA, but is now free to make his first appearance in the green and white hoops.

On the signing, Adam Lakeland commented: “I’m delighted that Dylan has joined us. He has been in with us since preseason doing his rehab and has trained fully in the last three weeks, looking like a very accomplished player despite being out for a number of months with a knee injury.”

“There’s no doubting his ability, and his attitude has been excellent. He’s a strong left-footed defender who can play across the back and as a wing-back, so he gives us real options, further strength in depth and competition for places.

“He’s not ready to go straight into the team yet, and understands he needs to build his fitness and earn a shirt when given the chance, but we’re pleased to have him on board.”

Dylan added: “I am grateful that Farsley have had faith in me to give me a chance and rehab to get back to full fitness and to a point where I can start training fully again.

“I am looking forward to building my fitness back up and challenging for a starting spot and pushing my career forward.”

Welcome to the club Dylan.
