Report: Farsley Celtic 1-1 Gloucester City

Tigers fight back from early Celts goal to share the spoils, writes Rob Winterbottom.

Farsley came into this match following successive away defeats, but had the best possible start to the match as a Jimmy Spencer effort was well saved and Dave Syers followed in to head home inside the first 60 seconds.

Gloucester immediately started to get back in to the game and after a well worked free kick levelled the match on 18 minutes. Skipper Sam Avery slotting in at the far post for the equaliser.

The rest of the half was pretty uneventful with only a half chance for Tyler Walton for Farsley and Jennison Myrie-Williams for Gloucester, as the half ended one goal each.

The second half on the whole was a scrappy affair with neither side able to take a strangle hold on the game.

Farsley had the best of the final fifteen minutes and were unlucky not to be able to grab the winner. Efforts for Walton, Spencer and Will Hayhurst were all to no avail as the game finished with a fair score line.
