We are delighted to announce that midfielder Tyler Walton has signed a new contract to remain with the club for the upcoming season.
The 22-year-old first joined the club from Frickley Athletic, in the summer of 2019, and has made 58 appearances in his first two seasons at the club, scoring four goals in that time.
Walton is looking forward to another season at the Citadel, as he said: “Farsley’s a great club, everyone involved is amazing. We’ve got a good dressing room, and it’s really enjoyable playing with this group of lads and under the gaffer.
“Last season I thought we started off slowly, but we gradually started to kick on and pick up points. I’m hoping next season we are finally able to get a full season in with the fans back in!
“On a personal level, I’m hoping to add more goals and assists to my game to help the team out. I think we’ve proved to clubs in our league now that we can compete with the best of them, and collectively there’s no reason why we can’t get in the playoffs and give it a real good go.”
Adam Lakeland added: “I’m really pleased to have Tyler signed up for another season with us.
“He’s a great lad, he’s got lots of ability, but I feel that it is a big season for him in that he needs to add more numbers to his game in terms of assists and goals. If he does that then he could take his game to another level and become a key member of our team.
“It’s a big season ahead for him, so hopefully he can have a good pre-season and kick on from there to help the team progress.”
